Draft — last updated 28 September 2026. This is what the Chess Millions website and game servers do with your information.
What we keep
- Your email address — to sign you in, confirm your account and reset your password.
- Your contestant name — shown to other players in games and on the site.
- Your password — only as a salted, one-way hash. Nobody, including us, can read it.
- Your Google account ID — only if you sign in with Google, so we can recognise you next time.
- Your membership tier and when you joined.
- Game records — once online play opens: the matches you play and how they ended.
- Server logs — IP addresses and request times, kept briefly to keep the service running and to stop abuse.
Cookies
We use only the cookies the site needs: one that keeps you signed in, and one that protects forms from forgery. No advertising or tracking cookies.
Who else is involved
- Google, if you choose to sign in with it.
- Our email provider, which delivers account emails.
- Google Fonts, which serves the site's typefaces.
We do not sell your information or share it for advertising.
Your choices
From your account you can change your name, email and password, download everything we hold about you, and delete your account. Deleting it removes your personal information for good.
