How a tournament runs
The show in real time with no prize wheel and no prize squares, so the chess decides it.
- Win your way inQualifiers are free to enter. Win your table and you win a ticket: spend it on a ticket-entry tournament's page before it starts. Nobody can buy their way in.
- Take your seatAt the start time, open Play now and you're seated automatically. Anyone not online two minutes in loses their place.
- Win your tableUp to ten people a table. Free tournaments put bots in any empty seats; ticket-entry and members' tournaments are people only. The best-placed person at each table goes through, until one table is left: the final.
- Take the crownStandings rank people only: a later stage beats an earlier one, then a better place at the table. Anyone can watch live on the tournament's page.

How prizes work
- Enter for freeSign up on the tournament's page. Entry costs nothing while we test.
- Be there at the startOpen Play now at the start time and you're seated at a table automatically.
- Finish in the moneyWin, or place high enough, and your share of the prize pool is yours. The pool and how it pays are on each tournament.
- Claim it to PayPalClaim it on your Prizes page with your PayPal account's email, and it's paid into that account.
Prizes are for people 18 or older, and are paid into the winner's PayPal account, once their ID is checked.
