Safety and reporting

How to report someone or something on Chess Millions, what we do about it, and where to go for help.

During a show

Open a contestant's camera from the list of contestants to hide it or mute them for yourself, or to report it. Reports go straight to our moderators. Two reports at one table take that camera off the table, and so does a single report of nudity or sexual content, or of someone on camera who looks under 18.

Anything else

To report a player, a contestant name, harassment, cheating, or anything that worries you, email us at support@chessmillions.com. Tell us the contestant's name, roughly when it happened, and the tournament or show if you know it. We read every report and reply within two working days.

We may hide or remove a name, turn off someone's camera and microphone, withhold a prize, or suspend or close an account. Where the law requires it, or someone may be at risk, we keep the records and pass them to the police.

Harm to a child

Report child sexual abuse, grooming, or sexual images of anyone under 18 to the Australian Centre to Counter Child Exploitation at accce.gov.au/report, and tell us too so we can act on the account. Don't copy, save or share the material yourself, even to report it.

If we haven't fixed it

If you've reported serious online abuse, image-based abuse or illegal or restricted content to us and it hasn't been dealt with, you can report it to the eSafety Commissioner at esafety.gov.au/report.
