Cancelled Ticket entry Classic A$1 prize to the winner

Cancelled: It needed 2 entries to run, and 1 came in.

How it works

  • Classic: turns round the table, a minute each, under tournament rules: no prize wheel, no prize squares, and the rings fall as a round begins.
  • Up to ten people a table, and people only: no bots. Seats go by rating, with nothing drawn: the highest-rated player sits in seat 1 and the rest follow in rating order, evenly spaced round the board (equal ratings go by who entered first; with several tables, players are dealt round them in rating order). In classic, seat 1 moves first. A seat nobody fills stays empty. The best-placed person at each table goes through to the next stage, until one table is left: the final. It takes 2 people online at the start to play; with fewer it's called off, tickets come back and entry fees are refunded.
  • At the start time, open Play now: you'll be seated automatically. Anyone who isn't online two minutes after the start loses their place.
  • Entry takes one ticket, won in a qualifier: nobody can buy their way in. Withdraw before the start and it comes back; don't turn up and it's spent. Up to 100 people.
  • Every capture scores the piece's value: pawn 1, knight 3, bishop 3, rook 5, queen 9, king 10. The order people go out in places them; points split those who go out together, and people who finish level at different tables.
  • The official rules, in full.
  • Anyone can watch here while it's played: the tables update by themselves.
